Very helpful to show the process.

Oh wow thats fantastic! I've been wanting to start drawing again and just didn't know how the process works. This is so helpful. I feel like i could do step 1 ok lol but step 2 is just such a jump. I'd love to watch a speed vid on youtube of one of these.

Its a shame so much detail gets lost from frame 3 to 4, but so much energy and atmosphere gets added. Really love this process.

I find it interesting that you go from grey scale to colour. Do you go over the scale with an opac colour to maintain the shades or do you start from scratch?

i usually go over them with a LOT of different layers - COLOUR, OVERLAY, HARDLIGHT and SOFTLIGHT are usually the main ones for adding colour to greyscale...

Can you explain overlay? im interested in trying this, cuz my digital work come out plastic looking, cuz i work out my light values in pencil, which looks fine. Then when i go to paint it in the computer, i start from scratch. (flats then dark to light.) but it ends up looking like plastic as apposed to organic.

a bit difficult to explain, but take some greyscale sketches and just do some experiments with different values of colour, saturation etc until you get a feel for how the different layer modes react. It'll start to make sense eventually!
